For boaties, Hobsonville Marina is an ideal launching pad to explore the beautiful Waitematā Harbour but it’s also the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Treat yourself to a coffee or two at one of our local cafés, head out for a leisurely stroll around the marina, or pack a picnic to enjoy in our landscaped gardens. With a wide range of activities, Hobsonville Marina has something to entertain everyone.
The Region
You can also use Hobsonville Marina as your base to explore the local region. Call in at the Farmers Market – the only covered waterfront market in Auckland, sneak in a coffee at the iconic Catalina Cafe, treat yourself to a beer and fries when you venture over to The Riverhead, a 150-year-old tavern, or hop on a community bike for a self-guided tour of the area.
The fastest way to get between Hobsonville Marina and Auckland City is to board a Belaire ferry service which takes around 30-35 minutes.There are regular sailings throughout the day – more frequently during peak times. See the timetable for details. Tickets can be bought from the terminal office or booked online. AT Hop can also be used.
